Murals and Faux Finishing
Faux Finishes (pronounced foh) are painting techniques simulating marble, stone, leather and cloth. You may have seen these techniques at your local home improvement paint centers and in magazines. The photo below is a "sponging on" technique. I used a damp sea sponge dipped in a paint mixed with glaze medium to achieve this look. This finish has the appearance of old plaster or stone and matches the floor tiles of my clients' home. The Bird of Paradise was added after the walls were faux finished. Most any color combination can be used to coordinate with one's interior decor. Any mural design can be painted directly on to your walls using interior house paints and artist paints. Floors can also be painted using porch and floor paints. Murals can be done on exterior walls, such as around pools, using exterior house paints. Furniture can be painted as well. I also offer painted canvases and floor cloths so you can take the artwork with you when you move. See our Faux Finishes Please call me for pricing: (772) 873-0055
